Synopsis:
It’s often said that just one person can make a difference, and CNN Heroes — everyday people changing the world — are evidence of that.
But these outstanding men and women would not have received this honor without someone taking the time to nominate them.
Every year the top 10 Heroes are highlighted on the CNN Heroes live broadcast. Scott Strode’s nonprofit, Phoenix Multisport in Denver, creates an active sports community to help former addicts stay sober and find new, supportive friends.
